Rooibos Ltd sponsors sports clothing for local teams
Various sports teams from in and around Clanwilliam, hometown of Rooibos Ltd's head office, play in clothing sponsored by Rooibos Ltd. Recent recipients of Rooibos Ltd branded sports clothing were the first rugby team from Augsburg Agricultural Gymnasium, the under-13 netball team from Augsburg Agricultural Gymnasium and Op die Berg rugby team.
Rooibos Ltd is one of the sponsors of the riel-dancing group called Die Nuwe Graskoue Trappers, enabling them to take part in the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, USA, from 10 to 18 July 2015. Says Gerda de Wet, Rooibos Ltd's Communication Manager: "This group from the remote Cederberg village of Wupperthal is taking the oldest dance form in South Africa to the world stage in the USA. We at Rooibos Ltd are proud to be associated with the preservation of indigenous dancing as a form of cultural expression. Riel dancing, like Rooibos, forms part of what makes the Cederberg region truly unique."
Rooibos Ltd involved in opening of Finbond Arts Centre in Clanwilliam
"Finbond Mutual Bank is honoured to be associated with a well-known company such as Rooibos Ltd," said Louis van Heerden, curator of the Finbond Arts Centre in Clanwilliam. Rooibos Ltd sponsored the programmes and Rooibos iced tea for the official opening of this centre and provided input on the adjudication of competitions.

Ready-to-drink teas venture into new territory: kids and sports drinks
On the Californian website Nutritional Outlook, the American Botanical Council announced that, in the USA, sales of brew and ready-to-drink teas increased by 4.1% in 2014. This includes the growing market for single-serve teas for children, such as Little Me Teas from Lawrenceville in Georgia that uses Rooibos and fruit juice in its kids' teas.
