Rooibos Ltd’s Gerda de Wet receives Long Service Award

In February this year, Gerda de Wet, Rooibos Ltd’s Communication Manager, celebrated a career of 25 years with the company.

Her first job was opening local markets for Rooibos. She started in the Pretoria office as Public Relations & Marketing Officer, travelling through the Transvaal and Free State to promote the use of Rooibos through lectures and demonstrations to women’s groups and clubs. She worked in the black townships in Pretoria and Johannesburg with eight promotion ladies to educate consumers on the health properties and versatility of Rooibos. In 2011, she “redeployed” as Communication Manager to maximise opportunities to promote Rooibos Ltd and to keep our clients informed. She is still responsible for sales to certain clients in Europe.
