Typhoo Tea wins Green Supplier of the Year Award

The UK’s Typhoo Tea, established in 1903, has received a number of awards for its efforts to run a sustainable business. To reduce its impact on the environment and its CO2 emissions, Typhoo Tea chose to import its teas through the Port of Liverpool, which is closest to its distribution centre.

Commenting on its 2013 Green Supplier of the Year Award, CEO Keith Packer says: “This is great recognition for the Typhoo team and another major award for our industry leading sustainability plan. All the effort the Typhoo team put in to make sure we are a sustainable business is rewarded by the number of industry accolades we are achieving”.

In 2012, Typhoo won Wirral Investment Network’s Environmental Supplier of the Year Award and were shortlisted for The Grocer’s Green Supplier of the Year.
