Rooibos Ltd offers training to give locals access to job opportunities

On Saturday, 19 September 2015, approximately 40 local residents from Clanwilliam attended a free workshop focusing on the skills required to manage crowds at big events. The training included marshal duties, crowd control, access control and directing traffic and athletes. Rooibos Ltd offered this entry-level training free of charge to give community members access to job opportunities created by large-scale events such as the annual Freshpak Fitness Festival.

Once the participants have completed the practical part of their training at the 2015 Freshpak Fitness Festival, they will receive certificates of attendance. In future, this knowledge and practical experience will make it easier for them to benefit from job opportunities created by such events.
