From Germany: 40 agricultural students from the University of Osnabrück
Forty agricultural students from the University of Osnabrück in Germany visited South Africa to learn more about South African agricultural practices. Of course, their visit would not have been complete without the iconic South African product, Rooibos. At Rooibos Ltd, they watched a DVD presentation and listened to talk on the production of Rooibos. They also did a tour of Rooibos Ltd's facilities in Clanwilliam.
From Germany: Eva Göbel
German student Eva Göbel visited Rooibos Ltd during March as part of her research on Fairtrade and community development. She was taken on a visit to a Rooibos farm, Rooibos Ltd's processing facilities and a local community centre built from the proceeds generated from Fairtrade certification.
From Germany: Journalists
In May this year, four respected journalists from Germany undertook a Tastes, flavours and sights of the Western Cape trip in order to generate articles for their respective newspapers and magazines, namely the women's magazine Madame, Sunday newspaper Welt Am Sonntag, the lifestyle supplements SZ GOLF and SZ WOHLFüHLEN, and art and lifestyle magazine Artology. This included a tour of Rooibos Ltd's facilities in Clanwilliam. Upon leaving South Africa, journalists "all vowed to return to our beautiful shores".
